If anyone wants to try a bit of “extreme benchrest” then look no further than West Devon Airgun Club today!
Sixteen SWEFTA shooters descended on the club for the monthly interclub BR challenge There were ten shooters from the home club and six of the Dartmoor Marksmen’s finest ready to battle it out in Round 3 of our challenge.
We took all that the Devon weather could throw at us, wind, rain, hail, thunder and of course being Devon a fair bit of sunshine! Top spot went to Rob Meatyard 718:16x and best card of 242:8x was Paul Salmon (although Nigel messed that up when it came to prize money).
Dartmoor Marksmen came out victorious yet again with the scores being 4238 to 4184.
Hopefully come the summer league we’ll see a few more SWEFTA clubs join us in the BR league as we’ve found out it’s been a great way to get members involved in a bit of competitive shooting in a friendly atmosphere.
Last shoot of the series will be at Dartmoor next month.
