Steve F’ and his crew provided us with a really good day of shooting which went smoothly with little queueing and only one blow of the whistle. Thanks also to the ladies on the food bar who kept us all fed and watered. Although I don’t indulge in burgers or bacon baps, I saw lots being enjoyed!
Despite the poor weather forecast and the wet start, there was a good turnout with 56 cards completed. However, the sunshine did eventually bless us with its presence which just left that tricky wind for us to figure out.
However, some great scores were achieved: Top FT gun for the day was our host Steve Franklyn with a very impressive 38, closely followed by Simon Evans with 36 and Richard Beaugie on 35. HFT top gun was Damien Hewings who managed a 76, Geoff Harding hit a 72 and Paul Salmon managed a very respectable 70. Well done guys!
Team scores are getting very interesting: FT: Avon Hawks (on 577) are pushing ahead of East Devon (552); and HFT: Dartmoor (1273) has increased their lead on South Dorset (1214)
