SWEFTA Summer league Round 9 - Summer League Prize Giving

Hi all,

We’re looking forward to seeing you all at Ashcombe for the final round of this year’s Summer league on Sunday 11th October.

As the region isn’t holding a Trophy shoot this year, we will also be presenting all of the Summer league trophies, shields and awards on the 11th October immediately after the shoot. I’ll be working on the scores throughout the afternoon, so will be able to start the presentations shortly after receiving the final score card from the afternoon’s shooting.

If you usually leave after shooting the morning round, to tempt you to stay on for the presentations we’ll be putting on a selection of side shoots throughout the afternoon to keep you occupied and entertained, but if that’s not enough to tempt you to wait for the presentations…..

SWEFTA has arranged for some amazing sponsorship and prizes, and qualifying shooters from this year’s Summer league will automatically be entered in the prize draw for a chance to win one of these fabulous prizes. Phil will send out more details of all the great prizes kindly donated by our sponsors, and how to qualify for free entry to the prize draw, so trust me it’ll be worth waiting till the prize giving for a chance to win.

As we’ve a lot to get through with all the presentations we’ll be starting 30mins earlier than normal:

7:30 am grounds open

8:00 am Zero range open

8:45 am Round 8 Purbeck awards and Safety briefing

9:00 am shooting starts

3:00 pm (est.) Round 9 Ashcombe awards

3:15 pm (est.) SWEFTA Summer league awards

3:45 pm (est.) Prize Draw 😊

Hot / cold food and drinks will be available all day.

The club is a short drive from the A380, near to Newton Abbot and Teignmouth.

Head along the B3192 following the signs for Ashcombe Shooting Ground, depending on which direction you're travelling from you'll see a large windmill in a field:

• If travelling from Teignmouth once you've gone past the windmill take the next right

• If travelling towards Teignmouth, turn left about hundred yards before you reach the windmill.

The turning for Ashcombe Shooting Ground is about half a mile once you've turned off the B3192, the airgun club car park is the first area you'll reach when coming up the main driveway, and the entrance to the airgun club shooting grounds is directly opposite the car park. Please follow instructions when parking as space is limited and we want everyone to park safely.
